Current Positions

Fineas is looking for a COMPOSER for upcoming short film projects.

Past projects and with corresponding music references include:

Web PSA’s: Let Her Learn
Short docs: Up2Us Sports: Delmy
Sizzles and trailers: Reprogramming

As a social impact agency, our clients are mainly nonprofits. This work offers artists a special opportunity to get creative while making a significant contribution to the world. Fineas works on issues ranging from the environment to racial equity to social justice. All of our work is aimed at creating a more sustainable, just and compassionate world.

We’re hoping to develop a relationship with a versatile composer who we can work with regularly. We’re looking for both more traditional classic / cinematic scores as well as some more fun, electronic beats (depending on the project).

As a freelance composer with Fineas Media, you’ll write original scores and/or tailor existing tracks that help increase our films’ emotional impact, and guide the audience through the tone and message of each piece.

Given the nonprofit nature of our work, our budgets are fairly lean. That said, we have a deep respect for the work of artists and musicians. We are placing this post to see the talent that’s out there and see how we may be able to negotiate a flat rate for the next 1-2 projects that feels fair to you and doable for us on a project-by-project basis. We are more than happy to leverage any existing music you may already have and are willing to license and/or make slight adjustments to. Our music budget typically range from $200-600 for a 1-3 minute piece.

To apply, submit your information and reel to our “Contact Us” page. Submissions without examples will not be considered, and submissions with visual examples are preferred.
