Fineas Reacts to Paris Accord News with Pro Bono Video Grants

***Please contact for full rules and scope.***

(Brooklyn, NY) In response to President Trump’s withdrawal from the Paris climate accord, Fineas Media announces an open call for applications to a first-of-its-kind grant opportunity: The Paris Accord Pro Bono Video Grants.

All US-based nonprofits and environmental action groups seeking creative and original video content to fuel an existing advocacy campaign related to climate change are invited to apply. Up to two grant recipients will be chosen to receive an all-expense-paid, pro bono, original advocacy video from leading filmmakers and creatives at Fineas. Preference will be given to initiatives that seek to inspire a new wave of environmental champions and/or reach constituents and stakeholders who do not currently support policies to curb climate change.

As part of the grant contribution, Fineas will convene a dedicated Creative Brain Trust of award-winning filmmakers, veteran ad agency directors, digital experts, journalists, writers, and other proven creatives to advise on the project.

Applications will be accepted until July 30, 2017. Full rules, scope of work, and grant criteria will be posted at on Wednesday June 7, 2017. The total in-kind value for each project, inclusive of all expenses, is scoped up to $100,000 each.

The video projects must have a start date of August 1, 2017 and must be completed by December 31, 2017.

“The decision by the Trump administration to withdraw from the Paris climate accord is painful and embarrassing to any American who cares about the planet we all share. More than ever, private US citizens and institutions must take bold, decisive action to ensure the wellbeing of future generations. At Fineas, we are committed to supporting the kind of advocacy and coalition-building that will have a real impact on climate change,” said Pauline Zalkin, Founder & Chief Creative Officer of Fineas Media.
